"Tropically Understated"... Grand Banks is a comfortable place to spend some money, smoke some Cubans, and see what happens. You can leave the tux behind, and go with the batik print shirt, or the tasteful Hawaiian one. You'll feel right at home thanks to the ever-present lone palm tree and the orange of the sunset. Once you enter the casino, it is quite easy to focus on games and gaming - it's as though you've left the beach behind for some gambling at a beachfront resort. The casino itself strikes a nice balance -- it's nice, but not fancy. I really enjoyed the blackjack here, because the sounds were subtle (card swishing and chip stacking), the table was clean, and the dealer never spoke. Perfect.

Details:
Types of Games: Download
Sign-Up Process: Once you download the casino program, you can play for fun or money. Either way, you'll need to enter quite a bit of personal info to sign up. A privacy policy would be a nice touch, but my experiences thus far with Grand Banks have proven that this is just an oversight and not something to distrust.
Promotions: 25% sign-up bonus, no strings attached.
User Interface: Could handle session expirations (meaning cases where you've been inactive for too long) a bit more elegantly. Also, game navigation and selection could be easier - seeing only 3 at a time down bottom is a minor drag. Otherwise, good.
Site Design: The casino program home screen, with its Vegas photo montage and hard-to-read (yellow-on-yellow) names of games you haven't yet downloaded, does not do justice to the design of the game and slot screens themselves, which are excellent.
Games: Conventional and easy to figure out. Comfortable.
Sounds: Subtle and realistic.
