"It's Déjà vu all over again"...  Where have I seen this place before? Betting money would have it somewhere in Antigua. Psst… want to know a secret? Some of these places get their gaming apparatus from the same suppliers. So casino style often comes down to the front door - and Caribbean Gold's front door is stylish. It features a well-designed lobby that is oddly rare in this industry. No one is there to take your coat, but from the start you get the idea that this is a professionally run establishment. In fact the rather simply designed games seem a little out of place with all this style. So if you're just a little bit between styles at the moment, this might be the place for you. Despite this casinos name, the Toucan, and the nautical theme to their games, Caribbean Gold's front is no fantasy island and it's more for the serious gambler than the theme park crowd.

Details:
Types of Games: Download only.
Sign-Up Process: Clear, but requires personal information even for guest users, nor does it clearly explain that there is a guest mode until you've already signed up. Easier than average download.
Promotions: 100% match bonus on first $35 to $150 deposit.
User Interface: Generally easy-to-use. Site interface is standard. Game interface is very legible. Games unfortunately run in full-screen mode at 800 by 600 resolution, which is a bit unfriendly. For the most part the games were easy to use, although I had to use the excellent help in one case.
Site Design: Uncharacteristically professional looking, slick and uncluttered. Only problem with it is that it's somewhat out of character with the game design.
Games: Unfortunately the games run in forced full-screen mode, although this means the games are very easy on the eyes and allow for extended strain-free viewing. Games are generally easy to use although I did need to use the excellent help at least once.
Sounds: I could do without the background sound loop, but at least it's subtle. Sounds in general are not great but thankfully subtle.
